| Entertaining
is a pleasure for us………
Make
sure you visit our hideaway on one of the
most spectacular rivers in Costa Rica -
the Pacuare. It is only accessible
by river or by trail.
This
area of rainforest is maintained as much
as possible, in its natural state while
offering you a temporary home in the heart
of the Costa Rican rainforest.
El
Nido del Tigre takes its name from the giant
patches of ginger plants that carpet the
floor of the main area of the camp. When
the ginger reaches a certain height it falls
over creating flattened areas in the shape
of a tiger’s nest - hence its name, which
translates to “the nest of the tiger”.

From
the center of the nest, trails radiate throughout
the forest and along the river. The
evolution of the camp has brought the introduction
of many innovative ideas for activities
and amusement during our guests’ stay. Activities
include hiking, horseback riding, mountain
biking, and tree climbing / rappelling.
We also have an open area for those
who like the odd game of ball or Frisbee.
If all this is too much after a day
on the river, seek out one of our quiet
reading areas, set yourself down with a
refreshing drink and just ‘be’ for a while.
